By accessing or using OptiPDF ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
OptiPDF is a free, browser-based PDF utility platform that provides tools including (but not limited to): merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and editing PDF files. All processing occurs entirely within the user's web browser.
3. Use of the Service
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use OptiPDF for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to use OptiPDF to:
- Process, distribute, or create illegal, infringing, or harmful content
- Circumvent, disable, or attack the security features of the Service
- Scrape, mirror, or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
4. Your Files and Data
As described in our Privacy Policy, all file processing occurs locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or access your files. You retain full ownership of all files you process using OptiPDF.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to process any files you use with our Service. Do not use OptiPDF to process files protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights that you do not own or have permission to use.
5. Intellectual Property
The OptiPDF name, logo, website design, and all associated content are the intellectual property of OptiPDF. The open-source libraries used by OptiPDF are governed by their respective licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.).
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of OptiPDF's proprietary content without express written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
OptiPDF is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Results produced by the Service will be accurate or meet your requirements
- Any errors or bugs in the Service will be corrected
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptiPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed $10.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OptiPDF, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
9. Third-Party Links
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
